Top 10 Places To Get Your Blog Noticed

One of those blogging activities that must be done regularly in order to get your blog ranked in the search engines, or shall I just say “Google”, is to list yourself in a minimum of 2-3 blog directories. At the bottom of the post I gave you a link to a very long list of directories and places to list your blog. While this can significantly help increase your traffic, so you don’t get too caught up in listing your blog in every directory out there, I narrowed it down for you to the top 10. Don’t forget that great content is still one of the best ways to get and maintain traffic!

Here are the top 10 directories you’ll want to register in to get your blog noticed: (not necessarily in order of importance)

http://technorati.com/ – The top blog directory/index online, you must be listed here or face certain death. (of your blog, that is…)

http://www.blogflux.com/- You’ll find several useful blogger’s tools there, too.

http://www.bloggernity.com/ - Clean, well organized, friendly. Has a healthy section of teen blogs, too!

http://www.blogcatalog.com/ – One of the top blog directories, it’s easy to navigate and one of the widest variety of subjects to choose from.

http://blogs.botw.org/- considered by some to be the Mercedes of blog catalogs, and a worthwhile directory to register you blog.

http://www.blogsearchengine.com/ – Splash Media is the powerhouse behind this directory of quality blogs. Known to be more particular in who they list, if  your blog is accepted into their directory, you deserve a badge of honor.

http://www.blogexplosion.com/- a growing directory with many side benefits to being a part of their community.

http://www.bloggeries.com/- considered one of the better organized and multi-category directories.

http://www.blogged.com - I thought this one had one of the better lists of homeschool blogs, so you’ll be in good company if your blog is homeschool-related.
